My Mother-in-Law, Claire Poe (Newman), was one of the first "Super Models" and was the cover girl on Life Magazine September 25, 1944. After she married she became a muse for Christian Dior and ended up with the largest private collection of original "Dior New Look". There was one particular gown that so many years later Dior wanted back for their museum. That gown was the Junon gown. Claire, at 5'7", with measurements of 38,18,37 made it impossible for anyone else to wear the gown. It was her Cinderella gown.

Jump forward to current day...My love for all things "Kamali" has turned into a collection of aprox 350 individual pieces. New Orleans celebrates Mardi Gras every year with parades and Balls. My husband surprised me with the gown I always wanted. My Cinderella gown was and still is the bright orange Parachute Gown! Both the Junon and the Parachute are gowns that simply deify description! Would that I could...I'd wear it every day! It makes me smile!
