I just saw the David Bowie exhibit at The Victoria and Albert Museum in London. David Bowie, after a 10 year hiatus from the music industry, just produced a new CD, The Next Day. This brilliant idea of course I am sure it comes from the brilliant mind of David Bowie himself, to display his extraordinary accomplishments in music, film, experimental stage and screen work, as well as costume collaborations. My favorite styles were one of my favorite designers, Kansai Yamamoto. They are beautifully presented with film and audio tracks to listen to throughout with bowie talking us through and recounting stories. Everyone knew he was a genius when he did his music and his art, but seeing the scope of his work, the originality and influence is breathtaking. This is a must visit for all.
